CPJH Beginner Orchestra 20-21

We had a great first week! I've had a great week getting to know all our new members. The beginners have learned a great deal of new music vocabulary this week. I can't wait to see them on Monday.

The beginners are moving very fast, and I believe we will start working with instruments towards the end of next week. If you have not ordered your child's instrument please do so soon.

All Creekside Orchestra members will need the following supplies on a daily basis. Students will receive a daily grade for having these supplies in class:

• Instrument and bow in proper working condition
• Any other needed musical equipment (i.e. shoulder rest, rosin, rock stop, etc)
• Method Book prescribed by teacher (given to parents on equipment list)
• A one-inch three-ringed black binder. This will need to be for orchestra use only.
• 5 tab dividers for the black binder. Labeled as the following:
• Warm Ups
• Theory Notes
• Scales
• Music
• Assignments
• Note book paper in binder
• 2 Sharpened Pencils
• Metronome or Metronome App
• A pencil pouch to go inside the orchestra binder.

All beginner instruments need to be taped. This helps our beginner by giving them guidelines to where their hands and fingers need to be positioned on the instrument and bow.

Please bring your child's instrument to be tapped on Wednesday, September 16, 3:15-4:00 pm, at the back of the school at door 12.
