Your Weekly BGS PTO News & Happenings
Special thanks to Janine Guasco, Jennifer Khoury & Jennifer Winchock for their leadership in organizing the event!
Field Day Helpers Needed
There's still time to let Mr. C & Mr. U know that you can can help run events during BGS Field Day on Wednesday, May 29 (Friday the 31st if it rains).
The event runs from 8:50 - 11:30, but volunteers are asked to report at 8:15 for a briefing on game instructions. Note that while you may see your child in passing, you won't be able to follow them to their various challenges. This is a great chance to help out the whole school, see some of the activities they do in gym, and cheer on our Bears.
If you can assist, please contact Mr. Chartowich at bchartowich@brrsd.k12.nj.us.
BGS Enrichment Field Hockey & Lacrosse Clinics
For Grades: 1st & 2nd and 3rd & 4th
Clinic Organizer: Emma Knauf
Emma is a BRHS junior working toward her Girl Scout Gold Award. She is also a BGS alumni. The focus of her Gold Award is to get Bradley Gardens students to “Try Something New.” She will be hosting a limited number of clinics after school in late May and early June to introduce the students to field hockey and lacrosse – so they can give them a try! No equipment or experience is needed - just bring water, a snack and a smile! Emma is Rutgers Safety Certified, a member of the BRHS JV Girls Lacrosse Team, Captain of the BRHS JV Field Hockey Team and she hopes to see you there!
More details, sign up forms and permission slips came home last week - return them ASAP. If you missed them, you can find the flyer attached below.
Space is limited so don’t wait.
Spring Book Fair
Don't miss our BOGO (Buy One - Get One) Book Fair the week of June 3. Students will attend with their classes during the week. You can also shop as a family on Wednesday, June 5 from 6-8 PM.
Volunteers will be needed to help run the store both during school hours and during the family shopping evening. Even an hour of help means a lot to our Bears! Sign up to help out here: http://bit.ly/BGSBooks19 Note that some volunteer slots may be removed once the teachers have signed up for their shopping times.
Volunteer Breakfast
It's been a very busy school year and we'd like to take some time to recognize the hard work of ALL of our volunteers. Without your help, we couldn't have staffed book fairs and holiday shops, decorated for events, cooked for teachers, arranged class parties, counted box tops, or done any of the other great things our PTO does to make the BGS community so special.
We invite all members of the BGS community who have volunteered their time or talents in some way to our annual Volunteer Breakfast on Wednesday, June 5th from 7:45 AM until school starts. Kids are welcome. To ensure we have enough goodies on hand, we just ask that you let us know you're coming by RSVP'ing here: http://bit.ly/BGSThanks19
See you there!
