A Note from Your Principals
November's Attendance Numbers
It's hard to believe today is DECEMBER 1st! Where is this school year going? 2023 is almost a thing of the past!
With the ending of another month, we wanted to share our most recent attendance data - we continue to have celebrations...despite the illnesses and holiday travel that November brought!
- The number of students considered "chronically absent" remained pretty steady from October to November, with 37 of our students (8.3%) missing 10% or more of the days we've been in school.
- For the third consecutive month, we met our goal of 95% or more of students being in school each day...we were at 96.5%.
- Grade 5 had the best attendance...with an average of 95.38% of students present each day.
We want to ensure our Eli Terry families recognize how missed school days add up.
While taking a break for a family trip, especially around the holidays, is fantastic, every absence—whether due to illness, appointments, or other reasons—contributes to missed learning opportunities. Even though each individual day might seem small, they add up over time and impact your child's educational journey.
We want you to take vacations and make memories, but it's crucial to consider future unexpected days off, like sick days or unforeseen events. Finding a balance between fun family time and ensuring consistent school attendance helps your child stay on track and make the most of their learning adventure! 📚✨
