December Newsletter

This is Deshaun's first year as an EC teacher after serving as an EC TA for several years in the district. She established a routine from day one, set high expectations for her students, and has developed relationships with her students. She has hit the ground running as an EC teacher and is an asset to the students of Parkwood Elementary!

Catherine is a dedicated employee who always goes above and beyond for the team. She is an excellent educator and expert in the field of special education. She is an advocate for the students she serves and the teachers she supports. Catherine is an asset to not only the EC Department, but the entire White Oak High School community.

Michelle is a valuable member of the Swansboro High School Exceptional Children’s Department. She is a strong advocate for the students she serves and an amazing mentor to the teachers she supports. Michelle is passionate about what she does and is always finding new and innovative ways to enhance both the Employment Prep Program and the EC Department.

Amy is always positive and willing to help students and their teachers. She has great insight and multiple solutions to try. She allows teachers to speak into possible solutions. Amy navigates and pivots with ease. She is always willing to share resources, schedules, token boards, etc. with teachers from her bag of tricks. She is a vital part of our EC Family!

Sunny is a new teacher and has been beyond positive, has learned and applied so much in all areas from training and support. She is a fast learner and has been rocking her paperwork, IEP meetings and most importantly her students adore her! She has been a pleasure to work with and I love seeing her make so many connections.
