Your weekly PSA on sustainability brought to you by the Joho 4 Change Sustainability club: The United States annually recycles enough iron and steel scrap metals by weight, to build more than 900 Golden Gate Bridges — a bridge stretching nearly 9,000 feet. Let's keep building bridges by recycling.

Looking to be part of the coolest winter performances around? Come check out the Johansen Winter Drumline and Winter Guard workshops and auditions on November 15, 21, and 27 at the Band Room. Guard is 5-8 PM and drums are 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Contact Mr. Hart if you have questions. No experience is needed to be this awesome!

HYLC is teaming up with Sacramento State’s Love Talk Read to conduct a book drive! We are looking specifically for new and gently-used books for children ages 0-12 years old. You can bring in books from November 7th to December 1st. The books that are collected will go to at-risk preschool and elementary schools in our area. Thank you for helping promote literacy for our children’s life success! Our goal is 1,000+ books. Please contact Ms. Albarran for more information. Books can be donated in room H112, the library, and student store.
