Thoughts From Mrs. Shock...
Hello Huron Families,
We are on a weather roller coaster, so please be sure to continue to send your child to school with winter gear even if they do shed it at the end of the day!
The MSTEP window is open. All students in grades 3 - 5 will be taking the state MSTEP test in April and May. Teachers will communicate to you ahead of time what days they will be testing in their classrooms.
There are some reminders regarding the parking lot below. Please take the time to review them and follow the guidelines for the safety and well-being of all. Also please do not cross in the middle of the parking lot it is best to use the cross walk.
There is lots going on this month so please take a moment to review the information below.
Take Care!

Anton Art Center
Mrs. Vecchio, our Art teacher, has submitted some student work to a special countywide student show this year for the first time! This show takes place at the Anton Art Center in Mount Clemens and is an actual juried art show.
We have 10 Huron artists that will be featured in that show this year:
Stella Altadonna – 3rd
Klea Ndoka – 3rd
Zola Graham – 3rd
Helia Bega – 3rd
Sianna Lee – 1st
Karsynn Matthews – 1st
Madilyn Addabbo – 5th
Amelia Chmiel – 5th
Victoria DiMuro – 5th
Erina Cenolli – 5th
Two of our Huron artists are being recognized as award winners!!!
Helia Bega received an honorable mention & Victoria DiMuro 2nd Place have each won an award. Only 39 awards are being presented out of the almost 400 works of art on display at this show, so this is a MAJOR accomplishment for our 2 Huron award winners.
Additionally, the district art showcase is up and on display all week and this coming weekend to enjoy at the Clinton Macomb Public Library. Huron has an amazing display right in the front this year, only until Wednesday, May 1st.
Congrats to those students featured:

Kroger Rewards
Huron Elementary partners with the Kroger Community Rewards Program. Every time you shop with Kroger, our school benefits - it is easy fundraising and allows us to do additional things for our students. If you are willing, please share this information with family and friends too!
Thank you in advance for your support!
