Dear TMS Families,
The Thomas Band Program is excited to get underway! If your child plays an instrument, now is the time to share this interest and sign up for the TMS Band and/or the Jazz Band Programs at TMS.
Thomas Band provides the students with many benefits! It is a wonderful way to build friendships, a place to learn how to be a team member, and a space to express oneself with a creative outlet. Participating in Band helps students grow in self-confidence, learn essential life skills in time management and perseverance, develop self discipline, and provides opportunities to celebrate accomplishments.
ACTION ITEM - TIME SENSITIVE: Please complete this Band Interest Sign-Up form by Friday, August 30th, to show interest in the TMS Band and/or Jazz Band Programs. If you have more than one child interested in band, please fill out a separate form for each child.
Band Program Details:
- Rehearsal - Morning rehearsals are from 7:00 -7:40 AM on various days of the week.
- Placement Videos - Like last year, we are using Schoology for placement videos. Once you have signed up your child for band, closer to the start of the school year, we will follow up by sending out another email regarding Placement Videos with Schoology.
- Deadline to submit Placement Videos: For planning purposes, there is a hard deadline for video submissions - videos will be accepted until 9:00pm on 9/5/24.
