...for their patience as we worked to get them a new SmartBoard. (There current one was on the "fritz"). Installed this morning!

8th GRADE CONFIRMATION DATE⛪
We received word just today from the Bishop's office that Confirmation for our 8th graders will be
Wednesday, May 14.
COMMUNICATION IS KEY!💬
I am constantly reminding our teachers to communicate home with you to make sure you are up-to-date and aware of the activities going on in the classroom.
Never hesitate to email and ask questions if you need help with anything!
Remember, you can keep up with grades through FACTs!
MUMS DELIVERY!🌼
H.O.P.E. MEETING NEXT WEEK🌞
Tuesday, September 17th at 6:30 pm, we will hold our first H.O.P.E. meeting in the cafeteria.
H.O.P.E. stands for Holy Childhood Organization of Parents and Educators and is our PTA. All are welcome! Come and see what we’re all about and learn how you can get involved.
Babysitting is provided in the aftercare room by older students.
LOVE SEEING THE PETS EVERY MORNING!🦮
📗READING NIGHT AT HCS📙
Below is a printable flyer of above. Hope to see everyone there!
👕$1 DRESS DOWN DAYS
Next week, we are going to try something a little different.
Next Wednesday, September 18, if you would like to have a dress down day, you can come to school in school-appropriate clothing. This will cost you $1 and you can pay Mr. Keefe at morning drop-off.
We will do this occasionally throughout the year; money raised will go towards our 7/8 Washington DC Field Trip.
THANK YOU, MRS. CORNMAN😡
Every afternoon, our lunch lady, Mrs. Stacie Cornman makes me a PB&J sandwich to hold me over until I leave for the day. I always appreciate her thoughtfulness and kindness.
This week, though, she was NOT being the LIGHT we want to see in others.
FEEDING GOD'S PEOPLE🥪
Next Friday, September 20, we will be having our first of the year's Feeding God's People.
For the new families to HCS, Feeding God's People is held the 3rd Friday of every month beginning at 7:15 AM in the cafeteria
Moms, Dads, and any Family are encouraged to attend. Bring individually sliced meats, cheeses, and bread. Beginning at 7:15, we make sandwiches simple meat / cheese sandwiches which we donate to St. Vincent De Paul. Last year we made over 2,000 sandwiches!
In addition, every Feeding God's People is a spirit-wear day. This is a full-dress down day but try to have student tops be HCS gear (or at least blue or yellow).
Another great family event!
I GOT CHEESED!🧀
FALL PICTURE DAY📷
In last week's newsletter, I gave you the incorrect date for Fall Pictures. Picture Day will be on Thursday, October 3. We will be taking Fall Individual and Class Pictures on that day.
There will be no need to bring money with you to school on that day. Proofs of the pictures will be sent to parents' email and you can determine if you wish to purchase pictures or not.
Flyers with additional information will be coming shorty.
⚽8th GRADE NIGHT FOR GIRLS SOCCER
WHEN DAD HAS TO DO YOUR HAIR IN THE MORNING💈
ANOTHER DAY IN PRE-K🤪
This young lady came to the office earlier this week with a blue "Connector" in her hair. Connectors are little plastic balls that connect with each other and kids can build things with them. (Think Lego's, but spherical). You can see what I mean by looking at the white arrow.
There are a few items to know:
1. When asking the student how they got in her hair: "They jumped".
2. There is only one Connector pictured here. She started with 30 total in her hair. (Yes...30).
A MAJOR THANK YOU GOES TO...🤺
...Mr. Bunn for helping build the fence that has gone around our Schulte Garden.
