It is hard to believe that we are about to begin the last month of this school year. The conclusion of a great school year marks a significant milestone, filled with a blend of achievements, growth, and unforgettable memories. It's a time for students and teachers to celebrate how far they have come both academically and personally. It will be a fun and busy month!

Attendance: Please continue to make school attendance a priority. Teaching and learning will continue until the last day of school.

Staff Appreciation Week: The week of May 6-10 is a special week for Lamkin staff. Please take a few minutes to write a note of thanks to any of our staff members using the link below. Notes of appreciation are treasured keepsakes. Feel free to submit as many as you wish!

Last Call for Lost and Found Items: Items not claimed by May 6th will be donated to Cy-Hope. Feel free to come by Lamkin during school hours to locate your child’s missing jacket or sweater.

Are you moving? We never want our Lamkin Leopards to move, however, we know that sometimes moves are necessary. Your child will bring home a bright yellow note for you to fill out if your child will not return to Lamkin for the 2024-25 school year. If you cannot locate the yellow form, please let your child’s teacher know.

Retirements: We are sad to see these exceptional staff members leave Lamkin. Each has dedicated many years to educating children at Lamkin and other campuses. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Fouts, Mrs. Rios, and Mrs. Denoma as they begin their next journey….RETIREMENT!

Renovation Update: Lamkin will be a busy place this summer as the renovation will be in full swing. All staff will be off campus beginning May 31st until sometime in August (TBD). If you need to contact us during the summer, please call 291-897-4775, or email us at Lamkin@cfisd.net and someone will be able to help you within a few days. The staff members who work during the summer months will be at Fiest Elementary while the building is under renovation. Please check our website for information to frequently asked questions.

As the end of the school year approaches, we would like to remind you to pick up any medications you provided to the school clinic this year. According to the CFISD Board policy FFAC (local), medications must be retrieved from the clinic by a parent/guardian or designated responsible adult. Please make arrangements to pick up your student's medications by May 31st at 4:00 p.m. Medications not collected by this deadline will be disposed of according to CFISD policy.

In compliance with the Texas Department of state Health Services, it is imperative that all children are current with all immunizations or have an exemption on file while attending public school.

Please do not hesitate to call Ashley Wallace, RN at 281-897-4778 with any questions regarding your child's missing vaccines.

We are hopeful that all of our Lamkin Leopards return for the 2024-25 school year. However, we know that some students will not return due to moving or other reasons. It will help us plan for next year to know if you are 100% sure that your PK-4th grade student(s) will NOT return. Please email Ms. Torres at jessica.gomez@cfisd.net and let her know the names of your students if they will not be returning to Lamkin.

If you have an expired lease or one that is up for renewal, we will need a copy of the new lease along with a current gas or electric bill before we can put your child/children in a class for next year. Email Ms. Torres at jessica.gomez@cfisd.net with a copy of the necessary documents or to ask her any questions you may have.
