Final Exams
Final Exams are just around the corner! Here are a few reminders:
- Students must be in attendance on the day of the final, no early exams.
- Make-up exams can be scheduled with the teacher for the student to take during tutorials, when the student returns.
- Final Exams are 10% of the semester average grade!
Crest Award for Counselors
Our Counseling department has been awarded with the CREST Award by the Texas School Counselor Association (TSCA) for their commitment for counseling excellence. Thank you, Mrs. Brady, Mrs. Guerrero, and Mrs. Garza for your leadership and advocacy for serving our students!

Library Media Center
Beanstack Reading Challenge
We have a brand new reading challenge running from November 20 - December 20! Students can log their reading minutes in Beanstack to participate in the challenge. Each student who completes the 300 minute reading challenge will be invited to a celebration in the Library Media Center after Winter Break. Students can access Beanstack through Classlink.
Ask your students about what they are reading, and encourage them to participate!
Digital Citizenship
Cyber Security
Students continue to visit the Library Media Center for Digital Citizenship lessons through their Reading Language Arts classes. This month, students are learning about Cyber Security. Here were the main objectives:- Define "phishing" and identify common methods used by scammers
- Recognize red flags in phishing emails, messages, or posts
- Develop critical thinking skills to discern legitimate requests from potential phishing attempts

Student are disqualified if they fail a class, have excessive tardies or absences, and/or receive any discipline referrals. Families, please continue to have a discussion with your students, reminding them of this opportunity before the end of this grading period.
