Weekly Church Updates for Nov. 18th - Nov. 24th
Scott Showalter will be bringing the sermon THIS Sunday, November 24th during our regular 10:00 AM service. He will be continuing in the Gospel of John. The title of his sermon will be called "Feeding of the Five Thousand" which will be focusing specifically on John 6:1-14 which goes along perfectly with our Thanksgiving Holiday approaching on Thursday, November 28th.
After the sermon, we will partake in The Lord’s Supper together to give thanks to Him.

5th Sundays:
Thank you Nancy Price for our Special Children’s Time during the service this morning! No matter how many mistakes we make, God will always forgive us! And we are called to forgive one another as well! Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times” (Matthew 18:21-22).
- All children are invited to a Special Children's Time scheduled again ON Sunday, December 29th hosted by Nancy Price during the service.

Next Monday, November 25th
The 9th Set of Snack Bags will be packed NEXT Monday, November 25th at 6:00 PM at John C. Myers Elementary School. It is a short week due to the Thanksgiving Break so packing will be Monday evening to give out the snack bags on Tuesday afternoon to the students. The scheduled packers that week are Teresa Estep, Sabrina Sonifrank, James Frye, and Mary Emerick.
- The Men’s Bible Study Group will be gathering again THIS Tuesday, November 19th at Bill May’s House starting at 7:00 PM. All men are welcome to join at any time!
- A Diaper & Wipe Shower for Chris & Teresa Estep's son, Briar, and his wife Alyssa, will be held THIS Sunday, November 24th. All members are welcome to bring diapers and wipes to donate to the family who are expecting a baby girl soon.
- The Ladies Group will be gathering again ON Monday, December 9th at Norma Fulk’s House starting at 6:30 PM. All women are welcome to join at any time!
Holiday Assistance
- All gifts need to be WRAPPED this year before turning in.
- All gifts/items will be due NO LATER than Friday, Dec. 13th.
- You can turn in your gifts/items on a Sunday morning before the service or Scott will be available to get them from you between Monday, December 9th - December 13th.
Annual Christmas Breakfast
Our Annual Christmas Breakfast will be scheduled for Sunday, December 15th (3rd Sunday) at 9:00 AM with our regular 10:00 AM service starting right after. We are asking the families to bring in a breakfast dish to share with the congregation. There will be a sign-up sheet available this coming Sunday, November 24th to mark what you might be bringing. Truth & Grace Ministries will provide the drinks and paper products. This event will take place in the school gym rather than the cafeteria. Please spread the word to family, friends, and fellow neighbors!
Children's Christmas Play
We are excited about our Church Christmas Play coming up soon! We are planning to have it Sunday, December 15th right after our Annual Christmas Breakfast in the school gym. We know this will be a great way to spread some holiday cheer! We hope you can make it to see our children in action and cheer them on! We are very excited to get this going and hope to make it a yearly tradition.

Annual Christmas Cards
Christmas Cards are welcomed again this year. A list of all the church members will be available at the back table. Feel free to bring your cards the next couple of Sundays (Nov. 24th, Dec. 1st, Dec. 8th) to drop off and Nancy Price will distribute them out on Sunday, December 15th.
Broadway Christmas Parade
SAVE THE DATE:
- 2024 ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE
- Sunday December 15th, 2:00 p.m. in Broadway
Parade starts at J Frank Hillyard Middle School, to Lee St, to Main St, to Broadway Avenue to Fire Department. Visit with Santa and free refreshments served at Fire Department after parade. 1:00 p.m. line up at J Frank Hillyard Middle School. No pre-registration required. Santa is on a tight schedule this year. In case of inclement weather, the event will not be re-scheduled.
