Principal's Update
Dear NBC Parents,
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our recent parent-teacher conferences. We appreciate you taking the time to connect with us and support your child’s learning and growth. Your involvement is key to their success!
If you were unable to attend conferences, please know that our teachers are still available to meet or discuss your child’s progress. Feel free to reach out to them directly.
In addition, I encourage you to take a moment to read the attached newsletter. It’s full of important updates and exciting events happening here at NBC. Staying informed is a great way to stay involved in your child’s school experience.

Pickles the Sturgeon
Ms. Feuerstein's students eagerly welcomed the FFA's sturgeon to their class. Students will be monitoring the water levels, classifying different species of fish, and studying the growth of the sturgeon for the next several weeks. Welcome to NBC, Pickles!
6th Grade Grace Adventures Camp
6th grade students had a wonderful time during their Grace Adventures Field Trip on Thursday, October 10th. Students went horse back riding, canoeing, hiking on the sand dunes, played laser tag and participated in team building activities.
District Wide Assembly
Students enjoyed the District Wide Assembly on Friday, October 11th, preparing for the homecoming game.
6th Grade Science
6th grade students are working hard on creating models of the water cycle in Science.
2024 Montague Marching Band Glow Show
The 2024 Glow Show will be on Monday, October 21st at 7pm at Montague High School Stadium. Cost is $7 per person with a $25 family cap. Bands from Montague, Hesperia, Shelby, Whitehall, and Mona Shores will be performing. Come enjoy the show!
Halloween Party
October 24th from 3-4pm will be for 6th graders.
October 25th from 3-4:30 will be for 7th and 8th graders.
No costumes please.
$5 entry fee - Pop and pizza included.
Dancing - Games - Concessions
Cell phones won't be accessed until after the dance.

IMPORTANT REMINDER!!
EVERY WEDNESDAY is early release for Montague Public Schools. Which means, NBC Middle Schoolers will get out of school an hour early- dismissal time of 1:40pm!
Pick-Up and Drop-Off
The front doors open at 7:25am and classes start at 7:40am.
Students are dismissed daily at 2:40pm.
On Wednesdays, students will be dismissed at 1:40pm.
Half day dismissal is at 11:10am.

Yearbook Orders will be on a separate order form coming soon.
There will be no school on November 1st for teacher professional development.
NBC Competitive Cheer Tryouts
NBC Competitive Cheer Tryouts will the October 28th-October 30 from 4-6pm and November 4th-November 5th from 4-6. Tryout location will be announced soon. Students who are interested should sign up in the office.
7th & 8th Grade Boys Basketball Tryouts
Tryouts for 7/8th boys basketball will begin on Monday, October 28. Students who are interested should sign up in the office.

Blue Crew T-Shirts & Passes
NBC Office Staff are now selling "Blue Crew T-Shirts" and "Blue Crew Passes"
These passes and shirts are $20 each. Cash or Check. If you purchase a shirt or a pass it will get your STUDENT into ALL Middle School & High School HOME athletic events (EXCLUDES MHSAA GAMES).

We are also seeking clean, gently used backpacks, clothing, athletic apparel (adult sizes S-XL), and tennis shoe donations in order to provide essential items for our students who are in need. Some specific items that are helpful are:
-Black leggings (for girls)
-Sweatpants
-Athletic shorts
-Sweatshirts
-Long sleeve t-shirts
-Short sleeve t-shirts
-Underpants (New/Unused)
-Hygiene and Misc. items: Backpacks, Deodorant, Tampons
