The weather is changing, and we seem to be done with the100+°F. The Fall semester at CCA may start off slowly, but it picks up pace very rapidly. We have finished our first 6-weeks of high school and are entering a heavy testing season. College classes will have mid-terms and all 9th-11th graders will take PSAT. We also have many activities coming up on our calendar. Now is a great time to show parents your TCC grades! Please read through this entire Newsletter to be informed of upcoming events and activities.

The culture of CCA involves student leadership - We want our students to consider club ideas that support our school and community. We have several clubs already in place and love new ideas for new ways to serve each other. Below is a list of current CCA Clubs with sponsor and top officers.

The CCA Spanish Club is inviting all families to celebrate Friday, October 13, 5:00-8:00PM.

CCA also has two teams in the Hispanic Heritage Quiz Bowl being held at the CISD Hispanic Heritage Celebration, Saturday, Oct 21. Please come out and cheer on our teams!

PSAT is Pre-SAT test and part of the National Merit Scholarship program (NMSQT). This test for 9th & 10th graders helps them understand the testing requirements and provides opportunity for them to work to improve their scores each year. All 11th graders who take PSAT are entered into the NMSQT for scholarship opportunities and National Merit recognitions. SAT practice will help you prepare to perform at your highest level! This practice will also help you be successful on the TSI.

Dress your Best!! CADY photographers will be at CCA Friday, November 3 to take pictures for each home campus Yearbook. All scholars grades 9-11 will take their picture in the morning between 8:40 and 12:00. Seniors who only want the Yearbook picture will take their picture between 2:30 and 3:30.
