Hello August!


School is just around the corner! We hope everyone has enjoyed their summer and is ready to come back. First day of school is on August 21st, 2024. We cannot wait to see everyone and make this another memorable year.


If you have not completed the registration for your child, I encourage you to complete it asap. If you have any questions please contact our registrar at (847) 596-5888.

If you need assistance completing registration you are welcome to come in-person by appointment only. Click here to book your appointment.


The district office has gone back to normal operating hours from Monday - Friday 8 a.m - 4 p.m.

Monday Aug 5th - Back to School Bash (Zion Benton High School 5pm - 7pm)

Wednesday Aug 21st - First day of school

ATTENTION ALL INCOMING MIDDLE SCHOOLERS

Parents this is a reminder all incoming middle schoolers, are required to read one book and complete one assignment. Your student is allowed to choose one of the 20 books that have been selected and choose to do 1 assignment out of the 9 that have been selected. Click here to view.

Abiding Christian Assembly of God

  • Food for residents of zion, winthrop harbor, wadsworth, or beach park
  • Every Wed, 9:30am-1pm, able to go weekly, must provide ID with current address or mail that states address for verification

St. Patrick Catholic Church

  • Mon-Thurs 8am-12pm, first time visit will need an ID and proof of address.
  • Will need to call in advance to make sure there is food and can only go once a month

Recipe Of The Month

Blueberry Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients


  • 1 cup of reduced -fat vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped peeled fresh peaches or frozen unsweetened sliced peaches
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt


Directions


  • In a blender, combine all ingredients; cover and process until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately.
