PARENTS.... PLEASE READ THE GUIDELINES BELOW!
We are a 2024 i-Ready Super Stretch School, awarded by our partners at Curriculum Associates, for our i-Ready Diagnostic growth last year! We are honored to receive this accolade and want to thank our staff, students, and families for their hard work last year. Congrats to our entire learning community on our students’ remarkable growth and learning!
This is a HUGE honor that only 6 schools in the entire state of Alabama earned. We had 58% of our students reach their stretch goal last year! The average school typically has 25% who reach their stretch goal. We are very proud of our students, teachers, and families for putting in the hard work to meet this goal.
Donations are optional, but we strongly encourage you to make a donation. These funds help support our teachers' classrooms and allow them to buy non-curriculum related items, such as class prizes, craft materials, and special snacks.
It is not too late to donate!!!
ATTENDANCE REMINDER!!
Parents,
Please remember that we MUST receive a handwritten note with physical signature, NOT an e-signature. These excuse notes must be received within 3 days of the student's return to school.
Parents can submit the signed excuse note either by attaching it via email or by attaching it using ParentSquare. Simply replying to the "your student has been marked absent" alert will not suffice UNLESS the parent note or doctor note is attached.
If the proper documentation is not received, the absence will be unexcused.
Thank you for helping us with this.

If your child participated in the Summer Reading Program at any public library, please send in the certificate or reading log for a special prize from Mrs. Richey. If you can't send one of those, you can email Mrs. Richey at jrichey@hoover.k12.al.us and let her know that your child participated.
Student Code of Conduct 2024-2025
The 24-25 Student Code of Conduct has been board approved. Please click here to review the Code of Conduct.
Please note that wearables, such as Apple watches or other devices which have texting or communication capabilities, are not allowed in elementary school. Cell phones are not allowed to be on or out at elementary School. If a student needs to have a cell phone for after school, it must stay off and in the student's backpack. If you have an emergency and need to reach your child, you may contact the school office and we are glad to relay that message. If your child needs to contact you with an urgent need, your child can always come to the office and we will assist with your child contacting you. Please remember that backpacks are stored in the hallways and are often unsupervised.
Look at What is New!!
You may notice a new addition to our campus. As you enter the drop-off line, you’ll see a bight green bin for clothing recycling. Clothes Bin is helping us raise funds for our school by paying for our recycled clothing. Each pound we collect generates money for the school. They can take any clothing, shoes, bedding or bags, just please do not leave anything outside the bin. Thanks for your support!
