Good evening, Evergreen families!
Today we enjoyed our third-grade students' performance in celebration of Martin Luther King Day! They were absolutely amazing!
Our word of the month is “Empathy”. We are teaching how empathy is being able to know how someone else is feeling, even when you aren't in the same situation. Sometimes, in more simple words, we call empathy being able to "put yourself in someone's shoes" and see things from their perception. Empathy is important in building positive relationships because it helps us understand and relate to others.
On Monday, January 20th, we will not have school to honor Martin Luther King Day.
Our Acceleration Team will meet on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:30-5 pm this coming week.
It is time for afterschool basketball for 3rd and 4th grade students. It will start January 27th and continue through March 6th. Tuesday’s will be 3rd grade students and Thursday’s will be 4th grade students. Students must sign up to attend. Please complete the registration form and return it to your student’s teacher or the office.
Our goals are improving reading skills and attendance! Two ways you can help are reading time at home daily and prioritizing school attendance.
Thank you for being a partner with us in your students' learning! Have a wonderful “Wildcat” weekend!
