Today's Security Action

Dear Kellogg families,
Earlier today, we received a phone call in which an anonymous caller threatened violence against our school. Out of an abundance of caution, we secured the perimeter of our campus, bringing staff and students inside and locking all doors and windows. We also alerted both the Portland Police Bureau and PPS Security. PPB officers and a PPS Campus Safety Associate quickly responded. Once they advised us that there was no danger to our school community, we returned to normal operations.
We understand that some students might have been troubled by the security action and could benefit from talking to a trusted adult. If your student would like help processing their feelings, please reach out to a member of our student support team:
Ashley Bevan, counselor, abevan@pps.net
Jeannette Scantling, counselor, jscantling@pps.net
Holly Vaughn-Edmonds, counselor, hvedmonds@pps.net
Bao Ngoc-Tong, school psychologist, btong@pps.net
Emma Sohriakoff, social worker, sohriakoff@pps.net
