The Olive Branch 10.1.21

Good Evening,

As you have probably noticed we have recently seen an increase in the number of positive covid cases at the nest. It is a very small increase but an increase nonetheless. We continue to follow all of the guidelines put in place to keep our students and staff safe, distancing, mask-wearing, and hand-washing. We would like to increase the distance in our lunchroom from 3 feet back to 6 feet to reduce the number of close contacts. We can't do this without your help. We need a MINIMUM of 10-12 volunteers on a daily basis to monitor students eating lunch in classrooms. If you are able to join us during the lunch hour please complete the form below. If you aren't able to join us but know an aunt/uncle, grandma/grandpa, that can, please sign them up!

We can't guarantee that if you volunteer you will be in your child's classroom; however, we will do our best! If we have 3 parents volunteer from the same class we may create a rotating schedule between three classrooms.

**All regular volunteers must be willing to submit proof of vaccination or of a weekly negative Covid test to the Personnel Department.

Each year we see an influx of unnecessary fidgets at school. This includes Pop-Its, spinners, cubes, marble tubes, Monkey Noodles, stress relief balls, etc. Please have your children keep these items at home. If fidgets are brought to school your child will be asked to keep the item in their backpack. For our students that do require the use of a fidget, your child's teacher will work with you, your child, and our OT to determine which fidget is most appropriate. Thank you in advance for your help in keeping our students focused on learning.
