A Message from Mrs. Williams
Now that we are more than a quarter into our new modified block schedule at GLHS, let's hear from some of our teachers about how the process is going for them and their students.
Go Lions!

PTO Speaker Series Info
This past Monday, November 25, our PTO hosted an incredible workshop on College Planning, presented by Tom Woodford. Families had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the college application process, financial aid, scholarships, and much more.
If you missed the session or would like to revisit the information shared, you can access the following resources:
We encourage all families to take advantage of these resources to help navigate the exciting journey of college planning!
Thank you to our PTO Board for organizing such an informative event for our school community.
CCP Informational Meeting
Gahanna Lincoln High School will be virtually hosting their annual College Credit Plus (CCP) Informational Student and Parent meeting on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 6:30-8:30pm. The first hour of the meeting will include general CCP information from central Ohio colleges and universities, and the second hour will highlight specific requirements from GLHS as well as time for Q&A.
As shared on the Ohio Department of Higher Education's website, "College Credit Plus is Ohio’s dual enrollment program that provides students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking courses from Ohio colleges or universities. The purpose of this program is to enhance students’ career readiness and postsecondary success, while providing a wide variety of options to college-ready students, at no or limited costs to students and families."
More information about the program can be found on the Ohio Department of Higher Education's website. The link to this meeting will be shared closer to the event.
Signing Your Student Out of School
Only a legal parent/guardian of a student can dismiss a student from school. (Siblings, aunts, uncles or other non-guardians cannot request dismissal.) If someone other than a parent/guardian is picking them up, please include that information in your note/message.
If you need to sign your student out of school during the school day, please follow these steps:
- Notify the attendance office in advance: Submit an absence request through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, call or email the attendance office before your arrival.
- Arrive at the school: Come to the main office to sign your student out.
- Bring identification: Have your ID ready for verification.
- Wait for your student: A staff member will retrieve your student and bring them to the office.
Your student will be issued a pass to leave at the requested time and they will meet you in the Main Office or the lobby at Clark Hall.
Arriving at the school and requesting your student for immediate dismissal without prior notice causes delays and they may miss their scheduled appointment.
All students returning after an appointment on the same day must sign back in at the Attendance Office or at Clark Hall. Please remind your student to turn in any medical, dental, court, etc. notes when they return.
How to contact the attendance office:
Phone: (614) 478-5515
Email: attendance@gjps.org
