1. Mental Illness Awareness Week
Friday - Happy Friday! Remember that you never know what a person is going through, so always treat everybody with respect and kindness. We hope you learned something new this week Wolfpack,
Although our campaign only lasts a week, please remember to always believe in yourself and treat everyone with kindness! If you believe that you are struggling with mental illness, please know that there are many adults on and off campus that are here for you, and able to help. Have a great week Wolfpack!
2. Wednesday Jersey Day for Jersey Mikes Fundraiser!
3. Student Senate Visits
Every month WSB Student Senate Representatives will be taking 5 minutes during intervention to speak with their class about:
- Events and activities coming up over the next month
- 5-Star Survey
- Monthly Guessing Game Competition
THIS Tuesday, October 9th will be a visit to your class. If you have any questions for your rep please feel free to ask!
4. Can Food Drive
What’s up Wolfpack! Here’s some more information for the Annual Can Food Drive:
-Contribute to your 1st period class!
Make sure to donate Wolfpack!
Donations will be given to Temecula Mission of Hope
5. Blood Drive
GOHS Blood Drive will take place on October 18th from 8am - 2pm by the Gym
By donating just a small amount of your time and blood, you can make a huge difference in someone's life.
Please review the eligibility requirements from San Diego Blood Bank before making your appointment.
**Family members may donate as well!
Your donation could save lives and support those in need within our community. Whether you're a regular donor or considering donating for the first time, your
contribution is valuable. Thank you!

6. GOHS Celebrations
Congratulations Cal Bass - Staff of the Week!
WSB weekly celebrates a staff member that our students would like to spotlight for their amazing contributions to Great Oak Campus Culture.
In honor of Custodian Appreciation Week, WSB celebrated Cal Bass. Mr. Bass has been an amazing addition to our campus this year. He comes to work every day with a smile on his face and is ready to face any challenge or support any set up that is needed for the many events on our campus. Thank you for helping keep Great Oak a clean environment for our students, staff, and families that set foot on campus every day.
Great Oak is a much better place with you here!

Wear your red wristband to school every day! WSB and PBIS will be surprising students and/or classes with promotional treats.

9. Additional News and Activities For GOHS Students
Academic Letter Ceremony
Great Oak High School would like to cordially invite students who earned a 3.75 or higher GPA the previous school year (2023-2024) to our annual Academic Letter Ceremony in the Performing Arts Center.

Club Approvals
Come to the WSB room for getting your club approved.
MONDAY, 10/7, THERE WILL BE NO MEETING/APPROVALS FOR CLUBS. APPROVALS WILL RESUME 10/14.
When - Monday mornings, 7:45am (EXCEPT 10/7. MEETING CANCELED)
New clubs - be prepared to pitch your club and bring your signed paper from the club constitution.
Renewing clubs - bring your signed paper from the club constitution AND PRESENT!!
All clubs must complete the club constitution, new or renewal.

Online Drivers Ed Fundraiser!
GOHS students who are starting to get driving will need to take an online drivers ed course!
When selecting the best course use Your Drivers Ed Online!
Course is $24.99. 50% of the cost will go back to GOHS Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society.
10. Winter Wish Nomination Form
Hey Wolfpack! Coming up this semester is our Winter Wish Rally! Grant a wish for one of your peers or teachers. List it below (Give a thoughtful and meaningful response) .
Some examples for wishes:
- I nominate ____ because they volunteer at the animal shelter every weekend and donate food and toys!
- I nominate ____ because they take time out of their day to hangout and invite the special needs kids to eat lunch with them.
- I nominate ____ because they're a positive person and they go out of their way to greet and talk to the teachers and supervisors on campus!
- I nominate ____ because they are always nice to their peers and call for a helping hand when they need help in class!
