St. Viator Students Inspired by Carlo Acutis: Roadmap to Reality
On behalf of the entire Archdiocese of Las Vegas, our school community is participating in a new spiritual book study that explores the life of a soon to be saint: Carlo Acutis. As part of this initiative, our 4th through 8th grade students attended a special screening of Carlo Acutis: Roadmap to Reality. This powerful film tells the story of Blessed Carlo Acutis, a teenager who used his gifts to bring others closer to Christ and the Eucharist. The experience served as a meaningful extension of our faith formation and offered students a living example of sainthood in the digital age.
Cristo Rey St. Viator Workers Thanked for their year of service to our school!
This week, our Vice Principal had the privilege of attending the end-of-year presentation by our incredible high school student workers from Cristo Rey St. Viator. Throughout the year, these dedicated students have provided consistent classroom support in Pre-K, 3rd, and 4th grades—assisting with small group instruction, classroom tasks, and one-on-one student engagement. Their presentation highlighted the impact of their service, the skills they've developed, and the meaningful relationships they've formed with both students and faculty. We are grateful for their commitment and proud to be part of the Cristo Rey work-study program that cultivates future leaders rooted in faith and service.
All Catholic Schools Geography Bee Winners
On Tuesday, April 29th, St. Viator proudly hosted the All Catholic Schools Geography Bee, welcoming contestants and alternates from all five local Catholic schools. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their impressive knowledge of world geography in a spirited and engaging competition. We are thrilled to share that St. Viator took 1st place in the team competition! In the individual round, congratulations go to Jake C. (Grade 7) for earning 1st place and Justine V. (Grade 8) for securing 3rd place. We are so proud of our students for representing our school with excellence and enthusiasm!
Middle School NET Ministries Retreat: Faith, Fun, and Joy
Campus ministry brought NET ministries to lead our students on a one day retreat this week to close out our year. 6th, 7th and 8th graders enjoyed a day of fun and prayer all around the theme of “Choose Joy”. Our students are blessed to have the chance to step out of their daily life to focus on their faith. These experiences are priceless.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Campus Ministry and our Viatorian mission. Without volunteers and the support we receive from our community it would not be possible. If you would like to volunteer next year please reach out to me. Have a blessed summer.

Second, Third, and Fourth Graders Enjoy "Peter Pan" with a Purpose!
Our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders had a blast watching a special performance of Peter Pan presented by NV Energy! This fun and engaging play wasn’t just entertaining—it also taught our students practical ways to save energy at home and school. With familiar characters and a great message, it was a memorable way to learn about being responsible energy users. Thank you, NV Energy, for bringing learning to life on stage!

Smiles All Around: Alum Christian Fecurka Promotes Dental Health at SVS
St. Viator alumni Christian Fecurka, now a dental student at UNLV, recently returned to SVS to visit his former classmate and current 4th grade teacher, Mr. Fusaro. Christian shared valuable tips with all 4th grade students on the importance of oral hygiene and how to properly care for their teeth and gums. His visit was both informative and inspiring—a great reminder of the power of community and how SVS alumni continue to give back. It was a proud moment for St. Viator as two former students teamed up to make a meaningful impact on today’s learners.

Standards of Excellence School Vitality Survey
At any time, I am happy to speak on “you cannot judge a book based on its cover.” SVS has heart, has the most caring and dedicated staff (they are old school tough which I treasure but they absolutely LOVE our children), has community, has humble children that are taught to be kind. You really don’t understand the priceless value of this until you leave for a couple years and come back. I’m grateful for this perspective!
St. Viator welcomes a variety of students with behavioral and learning challenges that may not otherwise be given the opportunity to learn in a Catholic School. They are welcomed and supported in order to not affect the learning of others. The administration at St. Viator has an open door policy and listens to their teachers. They are always willing to hear new ideas.
Overall, I think our school does a very good job for the children. I understand that you can’t make us all happy but I know they try their best.
As we continue this process, we are hoping to hear from 75% of our families. Please complete the survey (linked below) Your participation is vital in helping us to analyze the school, its programs and impact on student learning.
We realize this WCEA survey is rather lengthy and should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. We are most grateful for your time and assisting us in this process!

Viator Parish Tuition Rate Reminder
The most significant criteria to qualify for the Viator Parish rate is regular attendance at Sunday Mass using your envelopes. Remember, parents are a model of faith for their children and when families join us on a regular basis they are showing their children the priority faith and church has in their lives.
In order to qualify for the Viator rate you MUST:
- Attend a minimum of 26 masses (Saturday or Sunday)
- Use the envelopes sent to you from the church
- Forgot your envelope? Remember your parish number and use a blank envelope provided at mass.
DO NOT
- Mail in your envelopes to St. Viator church. These will not be counted.
- Drop off your envelope in the church on a school mass day.
- Forgetting the envelope and telling the church or school you went.
Tuition review occurred in December and you should have attended 13 masses by this time. All rates will be reviewed adjusted after the assessment. If your rate is adjusted it will be reflected on the February statement.
Important Notice for Non-St. Viator Parishioners
If your family is registered with a parish other than St. Viator, please submit a signed affidavit from your parish priest. This document must be turned in to Mrs. Alex no later than June 1st.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Important School Office Reminders
Please be reminded of the following important procedures:
Absences: If your child will be absent from school, per the handbook (pg. 11), parents should notify the school office immediately. This helps us ensure accurate attendance records.
Tardiness: If your child will be late due to an appointment, car issues, etc., please call the school office ahead of time to inform us of the delay.
Early Pickup: If your child needs to be picked up early, it is mandatory that you contact the school office as soon as possible—whether via phone call, email, or a note sent in with your child. Failure to do so can cause classroom disruption and may delay your child’s retrieval.
Urgent: Tuition and Fees Balance Must Be Paid in Full
All outstanding tuition and fees were due in full April 15. All outstanding tuition and fees not paid now must be paid in full by May 15.
Failure to make full payment will result in your student(s) being removed from enrollment and ineligibility for reregistration for the 2025–2026 school year. Additionally, report cards, transcripts and diplomas will be withheld until the balance is settled in full. No exceptions will be made.
We strongly advise you to log into your FACTS account to review your balance and confirm all payments have been made. If you encounter any issues or have any questions, please contact Mrs. Alex or Dr. Kiss immediately.
For assistance with your FACTS account contact 866-441-4637.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
