Career and Technical Updates
The students from Keefe Tech's Metal Fabrication program had the enriching opportunity to attend the "SteelDays" event organized by Capone Iron Inc!
This event is strategically designed to impart valuable knowledge to engineers, architects, metal fabrication students, and other participants about the intricacies of the domestic fabricated steel industry. Through engaging activities such as steel facility tours, project site visits, and hands-on events, attendees gain a comprehensive understanding of the steel fabrication process. During their tour of the facility, our students actively participated in various hands-on stations, including the AWS Careers in Welding Exhibit, document reading sessions, fitting and layout activities, and other mock-up exercises. This immersive experience not only deepened their theoretical understanding but also allowed them to apply their knowledge in practical scenarios, enhancing their skills and preparing them for future endeavors in the dynamic field of metal fabrication.
The Salon at Keefe Tech is officially open for business!
With some help from the landscape, DVC and electrical programs our grade 10 Cosmetology students designed some pumpkin buns for the fall!
