Chicks...chicks...and more chicks!
Please welcome our newest "Mavs!"
They couldn't wait any longer and decided to break free from their egg! We love their colors and the way they snuggle together. They have found a cozy spot in the library for now.
How many do you see?
Thank you, PTA!
Our PTA is out of this world! Our students, staff and families LOVED Dinosaur George! What a great event to bring to our community.
Our PTA is also going above and beyond for our teachers and staff this week for Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. We are thankful for everything you do for our school!
Please make sure to follow the MRE PTA on Facebook. Be on the lookout for upcoming events for the 2024-2025 school year. We can't wait to see what the PTA has in store for the Fall!
MRE LOVES OUR PTA!
Students will receive the reading challenge paper this week!
Complete 10 or more activities during the summer.
Return the sheet to the library when we return to school in August.
If you lose your map, just record your reading on ANY sheet of paper and you can turn that in!
If you choose to complete the 10 activities AND turn your paper in-you'll get prizes AND an extra book check out all year!
As we dive into summer, please save this important resource for your family!
Available in English and Spanish

Doors Open at 7:50 every morning at MRE. Students are tardy after 8:10.
To reduce late arrivals and lost instruction time, breakfast service will end at 8:20. By this time, all students should be in class.
Before this time, all students can sit and eat breakfast in the cafeteria.
No food or drink from the cafeteria will be allowed to be taken to the classroom except unopened cereal, which can be eaten at designated classroom snack times.
Students who bring outside food (example: donuts) will need to eat that food in the cafeteria. If they arrive after 8:20, the food will need to be placed in their backpack for snack time only.

Physical/Hard Copy Government-Issued Identifications Required FOR RAPTOR PICK-UP
As Katy ISD continues its review of safety practices and protocols, it's essential to stress the significance of physical/hard copy government-issued identifications for accessing campuses/facilities, student registration, and student pickup. The district is strictly enforcing this requirement and will no longer accept paper or digital copies of driver's licenses, visas, and passports at any of its campuses or facilities, for these purposes. Katy ISD greatly appreciates the community's cooperation with these safety procedures and the ongoing partnership to maintain safe and secure environments across campuses.
