Sunday Send Off

We would like to take this time to thank all the TAS staff. Each individual contributes to the success of the district and our students. We thank the custodial/maintenance staff, cafeteria staff, office personnel, bus drivers, administrators and teachers. Together we work for the success of all.

May 7 is Teacher Appreciation Day. Please take a moment to thank you child's teacher or teachers for what they do. This week also take a moment to thank any TAS staff member for what they do.

Mrs. Havens has chosen Everett Gordon as the Newberry Elementary Student of the Week. He is in Mrs. Havens and Mrs. Burbach’s second-grade classes. He has been selected because he consistently has a positive attitude, his work is always top-notch, and he’s always willing to help out in the classroom whenever and however he can. At school, he loves to read. He’s also part of Newberry Youth Wrestling. He received the Wrestler of the Year award! When he’s not in school, he likes to ride his dirtbike and jump on his trampoline. His favorite color is yellow. His favorite food is pepperoni pizza. I’m proud of you Everett; keep up the great work!

NWEA will be on-going in math and ELA for grades K-3 for the month of May.

May 7, 8, and 9 - M-STEP for McFadden/Puckett - math all three days; ELA 8th and 9th

May 7 - NWEA - Franks HR ELA w/ Evans - Evans HR math w/Price

May 9 - NWEA - Price HR ELA w/Evans; Franks HR math w/Price

Every Wednesday will be a different wacky day. If your child would like to participate, they will need to pay $1.00 to their teacher. The funds raised will go directly to your child’s class for field trips or positive incentives. If you have any wacky ideas to share, please contact the school office at 293-5153. Thank you for your support of our kids!
