The student of the week is Aaron Mills nominated by Candice Dubey.

" Aaron has such a wonderful character. He ALWAYS helps his classmates and teachers out whenever he can. He is so sweet to kids that need extra help in our class and always does his best at work.”

The student of the week is Santiago Perea Diaz nominated by Meggan Ducote.

"Santiago has really improved in striving to be on top of his schoolwork and doesn't hesitate to advocate for others that struggle. He always communicates to me if he doesn't understand something and always has a positive outlook on life."

What to expect this week.

Front doors will open at 7:15am. First bell rings at 8:15am. when students arrive on campus, they will go to the Gym, until they are released to class.
Students who arrive after the 8:15am bell, will receive a Tardy. Unless they have arrived to school on a late bus.

2022 Washington DC & Colonial Virginian trip

Attention 8th grade students registered for the spring break Washington DC and Colonial Virginia trip: We are leaving on our trip in 45 days! It is time to get excited!

Be sure to be on the lookout for important messages about the trip from Coach Walters. There will be a Pre-Trip meeting for parents and students about three weeks before we leave.

Who is going the extra mile for you?

•Think for a moment about the amazing staff at Leaman. Who is working hard for students? Nominate a teacher or staff member that you would like to recognize for their hard work in the Be the One survey.

•Each week the results will be gathered. They will then be shared with staff members during Tuesday department meetings or Wednesday staff meetings.

Leaman Junior High School is sharing the below information about the district and your child’s campus with you as part of its obligations under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA).

Federal Report Cards for the state, the district, and each of the district’s campuses are now available on the district’s website at this link: https://www.lcisd.org/departments/academics/raa/performance-reports-and-legal-postings or are also available on the Texas Education Agency’s website at: https://tea.texas.gov/finance-and-grants/grants/essa-program/federal-report-card. A detailed description of these reports is enclosed.

If you have difficulty accessing the information from the website, hard copies of the reports can be requested from the district or campus office. If you have questions about the information, please contact Leaman Junior High School at 832-223-5200 or the Lamar CISD Research, Assessment, & Accountability Office at 832-223-0138.
