Dear Cougar Families,
This weekend Megan went out to dinner in Denver on Friday, and had a very hard time watching the inevitable on Sunday. Robin had a big sports weekend! A few of the highlights included cheering on a former student at his sled hockey tournament and attending the sold-out Professional Women’s Hockey game at Ball Arena.

Kwame Alexander Author Visit
Poet, Author, Producer, & Speaker Kwame Alexander is coming to our school! Students in grades K-5 will attend his presentation in the gym on Wednesday February 5th. Students who have pre-purchased any of his books and bring them to school will be able to attend his book signing in the library that day. (His books are available at the Read Queen, Boulder Book Store, and online). For more information on Kwame Alexander, please visit his website. He will also be presenting at the Lafayette Public Library on Thursday Feb. 6 from 6:30-7:30 if families are interested in attending! (Click here for event details).

Dear Families,
I hope this message finds you well. As we enter the new semester, I want to take a moment to share some important information regarding our focus on health and safety within our school community: BVSD is committed to the health and safety of all students during their entire academic career, as such, we are pleased to have Blue Sky Bridge join us in speaking on Thursdays: 1/9, 1/16, & 1/23, and on Friday 1/31. A brief overview of topics to be covered in these presentations include Understanding Personal Space/Boundary Setting, Consent, Healthy Relationships, and Internet safety.
