We made it! The final week of the school year • Hello, summer break!
Hello, Bigelow families & students! Can you believe we've reached the final week of school?! So many reflections & emotions are filled within that phrase because it has truly been one heck of a year. Bigelow has spent these last few culminating days on field trips, wrapping up lessons and projects, celebrating our successes and learning from this year, and cherishing final moments with students and staff.
Thank you to each parent, guardian, and family who has trusted us with your child's education this year, and partnered with us to ensure the success of our future leaders and changemakers. We are only a few days away from a well-deserved break; let's bring it home strong this last week of the school year!
As we look forward to ending the year on a positive and hopeful note with our students, be sure to check-in with your child's teachers or grade level counselor regarding any end-of-year questions you may have. Also, be sure to check out info regarding Summer Reading below within this newsletter.
As always, feel free to contact me, any other member of Bigelow Leadership, or the Executive Admin. Asst., Kersten Raso, with questions, comments, or concerns. Have an amazing final week of the school year, and a refreshing & enjoyable summer break!
*Note: A separate notification will be sent next week regarding final report cards.

From the Bigelow Library 📚
Hello Bigelow Families!
With the end of the school year fast-approaching, I wanted to communicate some important details and dates. Our final day for book checkout will be June 12th and we are asking that all books be returned to the library by June 14th. This will give me time to complete an inventory (and also some wiggle room for students who need a little more time to find any books). Recently, any books that were overdue by more than 30 days were marked as “lost”. You may have seen a fine added to MySchoolBucks because of this. Once the book is returned, the fine is deleted from your account.
I also wanted to bring your attention to the Summer Reading List on Bigelow’s Library website, as wel as our district-wide Summer Reading Website. Our team of middle school librarians created this list as a fun way for our readers to keep busy this summer. These are not required reads!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
