Attendance and Tardies
Hello everyone,
Our year has started off GREAT with our new students who have joined our Lacey family. We are enjoying our new friends and staff, and we look forward to upcoming opportunities with school events and communications therein.
Daily attendance and being on time to school is expected unless your child is throwing up, has a fever, or has a doctor/dentist appointment. In the event you schedule a vacation during the school year, please email Mrs. May at least 2 weeks prior so that teachers can prepare work for your child. You are encouraged to schedule your vacation during Spring break, holidays, or summer.
Packed lunches - healthy options please (fruit, cheese, veggies, sandwiches)
At Home Learning
Many parents and guardians ask how to best help their children at home with academics and overall school success. Reading to and with your child(ren) is paramount. Doing this on a daily basis helps your child to build necessary literacy skills, fluency in reading, and an overall enjoyment of books.
Math can also be fostered at home. Counting money, telling time, playing games, and general conversations about mathematical concepts is not only an enjoyable opportunity for families to connect, but it's also valuable in learning math.
