Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope this newsletter finds you well. It has been an eventful and successful week at Carleton Park School as our pupils have been embracing and showcasing our school values of resilience and teamwork in remarkable ways.
Highlights from the week:
Sports Day: Our school sports day was a resounding success and it even stayed dry for us! Our pupils demonstrated exceptional resilience and teamwork throughout the event. Their enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and determination were truly commendable. We were incredibly proud of every child who participated, showing great perseverance and giving their best in every event.
A big thank you to the staff, parents, and carers who supported and cheered on our young athletes.
Multiplication Check - Year 4: We want to give a special mention to our Year 4 children who completed the multiplication check this week. Their hard work and dedication leading up to the assessment were evident in the impressive scores achieved. The children approached the test with confidence and determination, showcasing their excellent mathematical skills. Well done, Year 4, for your fantastic achievement!
Phonics Screening Check - Year 1: This week also marked the beginning of the phonics screening check for our Year 1 pupils. We are thrilled to report that the children have been performing exceptionally well, a testament to the emphasis we place on early reading at Carleton Park School. Their enthusiasm, focus, and progress in phonics has been remarkable. We are immensely proud of their achievements and the hard work they have put into developing their literacy skills.
Quad Kids Athletics: Well done to our Year 5 and Year 6 children who attended a Quad Kids Athletics event at The King's School yesterday. They did fantastically well, coming 2nd overall out of 8 participating schools. A special mention goes to Ava in Year 6 who received an award for Best Girl, scoring the most points overall in the event.
As we celebrate these accomplishments, we would like to express our gratitude to our dedicated teachers and support staff who have worked tirelessly to create a nurturing learning environment where our pupils thrive. Your commitment to their growth and success is deeply appreciated.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents and carers for your ongoing support and encouragement. Your partnership with us plays a vital role in our students' achievements and their positive experience at Carleton Park School.
