Summer is winding down! Enjoy the last few weeks with your families!

Please note that there is an error in the 2024-2025 school calendar. There WILL be school on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2024 AND November 8, 2024. They were marked as a diocese in-service days. I apologize for the oversight. The calendar on-line is now current and updated.

Our playground materials will be delivered next week. We should break ground very soon!

Please make sure you wear your Saint Maria Goretti and Saint John Vianney necklace on the first day of school. Can you guess which saint we will add to our necklace this year??

We will be attending Mass on Thursday, August 15, 2024 for the Feast of the Assumption of Mary.
Be sure you have your child's Mass uniform ready to go. Sweaters are not required until the first Mass in October(with the circle SMG patch on the left side). School Mass will be at 10:00 AM, parents are welcome to attend.

You may have noticed we will NOT be purchasing school supplies for the students for the 2024-2025 school year. Parents will have to get the supplies for their students for the upcoming school year. Happy shopping. You may bring them to the Meet the Teacher event if you have them ready.

If you ordered school supplies they have already been delivered to the school.

We are happy to announce that we will have lunch five days a week for the students and staff! Please see the information below.

Thank you to Mr. Gleason, Mr. Halley, and the gardening crew for working every Tuesday and Saturday for keeping our garden looking good. Many vegetables were taken to the Padre Pio house to be given to their clients.

A BIG SMG thank you to the Women's Guild and two anonymous donors for helping us update our math curriculum. Students in Grades K-3rd will enjoy new textbooks this year. We can't wait to see our students shine.

With the love of reading as our goal, here are the required and recommended summer readings. Please refer to the grade-level your child will be entering in the fall. Help with the summer slide and encourage your kids to read over the summer!

In addition to building wonder through reading, there are also some more practical benefits. Students who enjoy reading for pleasure typically do better in school, developing stronger skills in writing, spelling, and comprehension without even realizing it. Studies show students who enjoy reading also do better in math and science, because reading develops logic and thinking skills.
