On behalf of the Stissing Mountain Jr./Sr. High School staff, faculty and administration, we would like to welcome all of our returning students, as well as, those students who are new to the district and, the incoming Class of 2031. The start of a new school year is always an exciting time of the year. Our summer staff have been working diligently to ready the building and we are confident that the 2024/2025 will be filled with opportunity and growth.

Students who have submitted their signed Student Technology Use-User Agreement Form will receive their laptop on the first day of school. If you have not completed and returned the form or, if your child still has items that have not been returned from last year, please return them with your child on the first day of school. In the event that your child is unable to locate any missing items, payment for the items must be made prior to receiving any new technology equipment for the 2024/2025 school year.

For your convenience, the Technology Agreement Form is attached should you need one.

The North East Community Center is also hosting a Supplies Giveaway. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Picture Day will be Friday, September 13th. Please visit https://vando.imagequix.com/S9SRC9J and enter the school Online Code StissingHS24 to order online. (The preorder site closes 48 hours after the last picture day.) Post picture day ordering is available once the proof sheet is emailed to your school preferred email or sent to the school, these orders include an additional shipping fee and are mailed directly to your home address.

Our Open House is scheduled for Thursday, September 19th from 6-8 pm. Parents/guardians/caregivers are welcome and encouraged to attend. This event is an opportunity for families collaborate with teachers, learn about our school's structure and the on-going opportunities we have to offer.

As we continue to support a productive learning environment, we are reminding students and families of our Cell Phone Policy. Please review the following with your child:

• Cell phones may not be used in the classroom setting.
• Cell phones should remain locked in their lockers throughout the school day.
• If Students are found to be using a cell phone during their class, we will be following our District Board Policy outlined in the Student Handbook.
