Know the Truth
"Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." John 8:32
A Message from Dr. Marquardt
GUILTY AS CHARGED
While on the cross, Jesus felt the indignity and disgrace of a criminal. No, He was not guilty. No, He had not committed a sin. And no, He did not deserve to be sentenced. But you and I were, we had, and we did. We are all GUILTY AS CHARGED, but though we come to the cross dressed in sin, we leave the cross dressed in “garments of salvation” (Isaiah 61:10, NIV). Indeed, we leave dressed in Christ Himself! -- Max Lucado (He Chose the Nails). “All of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” Galatians 3:27 (NIV).
As Christians we journey to the foot of the cross during this Lenten season, may we be reminded of God’s amazing and unconditional love for us through the death and resurrection of His Son, our Savior, Jesus that we look forward to celebrating on EASTER Sunday, April 9. May we be thankful and ever mindful of this, the greatest Gift of all, and be bold in our witness and proclamation of this truth with our family and friends. Spring is a special time of the year, especially this spring in California, with our hills green and flowers coming to life all around us. Please make sure to take special family time over the upcoming Easter vacation (April 7-14) to enjoy time as a family. Parents are their child’s first and best teachers. We at
RHLS feel very special to be in partnership in the Christian Education process with you and are thankful for all of your continued prayerful support of our work together as we bask in the love and joy of our Risen Savior, Jesus Christ!
Blessings,
Dr. Paul Marquardt, Principal

Middle School Ministry Teaching Series – PLOT TWIST
Whether it’s your favorite movie, book, or reality show, you know there's nothing like a good plot twist! Those storytelling surprises can keep us entertained, but they can do a lot more than that too. A good plot twist can make us rethink everything we thought we knew, see things in a brand new light, and get excited about what might happen next. That’s never more true than in the most surprising and significant plot twist in history — Jesus’ death and resurrection. In this series, we’ll look at six surprising stories from Jesus’ death, resurrection, and last days on earth. These stories will show us that, when life takes unexpected turns, God gives us help. And even when we’ve messed up or are ready to give up, Jesus never turns away from us, but gives us life, gives us hope, is with us, and gives us another chance.
Summer Camp
Junior High Camp at Forest Home is THE place for your incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade campers to get away from the academic and social pressures and instead focus on their identity in Christ and place in God’s family of believers. During a week of camp running Sunday through Friday, students will discover who God has made them be through teaching from God’s Word, small group discussions, and high-energy worship.
Of course, no summer camp is complete without the fun! Creative games and interactive team challenges ensure there is never a dull moment at Forest Home. Campers have the freedom to explore the many recreation options at Forest Home all week long. (And with a Blob, Zip Line, kayaks, Sky Trail, Olympic-sized pool, GaGa pit, archery, laser tag, and lake, we mean MANY recreation options!) Campers will enjoy living in a community, making new friends, and creating memories that will give them confidence as they navigate the changes and challenges that middle school so often brings.

If you would like to attend Class 101, please contact my assistant Donna, at dkunz@redhillchurch.org.
Through this upcoming message series, we will explore some of the more challenging questions of faith that are often asked by believers and seekers alike. Questions such as…
“Why Can’t I Trust God?”
“Why Did God Let that Happen?”
“Why Hell?”
“Why Didn’t God Answer My Prayer?”
“Why Does God Feel Far Away?”
“Why Did God Send the Holy Spirit?"
As we ask and explore these common questions of the Christian faith, we will seek to find answers that make an infinite difference in how we understand God, faith, and the Bible itself, deepening our love for, and obedience to, Jesus Christ. What if having faith is less about knowing all the right answers but more about being willing to approach our Lord with our deep questions? Your questions and doubts don’t disqualify you; they may actually be the doorway to a deeper faith! I hope you can be with us!
As always, if there is anything we can be praying for, or if we can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to call upon us!
Until I see you, may you have a wonderful and healthy Easter! Thanks for being a part of our Red Hill family!
Gratefully in Christ,
Pastor Seth
