October's Student of the Month
Each month our teachers choose students who have been embodying the habits of our Profile of a Middle School Learner. These are students who are Solutions Seekers, Global Thinkers, Resilient Learners, and Kind Empathetic Friends. Sometimes they let me take their picture and sometimes they don't. This time they did! :)
Celebrating our Cultures
December 20th will be our Perry Culture Celebration. This occur during the school day and has become a beloved event here at Perry where all students have the chance to show pride in their culture and learn about each other's.
Here are Cultures students are working on sharing with each other!
Central African Republic, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan, Somalia, Brasil, China Dominican Republic, German, Honduras, Ireland, Nepal, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Palestine, Islam, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Black America, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Canada and Venezuela!
If you are interested in coming in to support this event or contributing something, please complete this form and I will be in contact.
Celebrating Success!
Each quarter we have a different incentive goal to try to positively teach and encourage good habits. This week we celebrated with students who had 3 or less Tardies in the first 9 weeks! Attendance is so important to student success and being reliable and on time is important to life success!
Students who didn't hit the goal have another chance in Quarter Two. The next goal is having no more than one missing assignment at the end of the 9 weeks!

Getting on Infinite Campus & Schoology
Infinite Campus, and especially the Parent App, is a great way to keep track of your student's grades. Instructions can be found here.
Schoology is a great place to look at the upcoming due dates for your student. You can always have your student sign on and take you through, or you can get Family Access. Instruction on how to do this can be found here.
School Lunch / Free & Reduced Fees Application
Worthington Schools offers breakfast and lunch to students. Pricing for meals will be based on family eligibility. New Meal Applications are required for families every school year. Families may find the online Free/Reduced Lunch Eligibility Form HERE. All students use their Lunch ID for meals. The student's number can be found in the Parent Portal by selecting the Student ID tab and then look for their student's Lunch PIN.
Families may add money to their lunch account through My Payments Plus. They may also use My Payments Plus to track their student's account and see much money remains on it. My Payments Plus is also used to pay other fees, like high school parking permits and AP testing fees.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your continued support and involvement in our school community. It has been such a joy to see the students embrace Spirit Week with enthusiasm, especially with their Halloween costumes this year! These fun moments allow us to celebrate the lighthearted and goofy side of working with middle schoolers, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.
