A Message from the Principal
Reflecting on the school year so far, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude. 2024 has been a year of growth, challenges, and many moments of celebration, and I am so thankful to be part of this Souhegan community. I’ve witnessed our students push themselves to new heights and our school come together in the spirit of collaboration and care. As we look toward the new year, I’m filled with hope for the opportunities and experiences yet to come. My wish for all of us is that we continue to embrace the journey ahead with kindness and curiosity, united by the belief that there is strength in community. I can’t wait to see what we achieve together in 2025.
Best wishes for a restful break!
Dana

Post-Secondary Planning & Course Selection Night for Students & Families
On Thursday, January 16th, the Student Services Department will be holding evening presentations for students and families regarding Post-Secondary Planning & Course Selection. Our goal is to equip students and families with information that will be helpful for them as they navigate course selection decisions in consideration of their post-secondary goals. See below for details for specific grade-level students:
Current 11th Grade (Rising Seniors): The 11th Grade School Counselors will each present to rising seniors and their families about the college admissions process. The scope of the presentation will include factors to consider in the college search process, the admissions timeline, the application process, and course selection considerations for senior year. In an effort to have a more intimate presentation that encourages dialog, Erin and Megan will present separately in classrooms to students and families from their caseload. They will be sending a direct email invite to families when we return from the holiday break.
Current 9th and 10th Grade (Rising Sophomores & Juniors) - Theater:
Kylé and Kara will present to rising Sophomores and Juniors in the theater regarding course selection & post-secondary planning. The presentation will emphasize decisions that students can make in high school, particularly through the course selection process, to help them achieve their post-secondary goals. Included in the presentation will be factors to consider in the college admissions process and some information about tools for initiating the college search process.
These presentations will be preceded by the Math Acceleration Info Session, being held from 6:00-6:45 that night. Student Services will send direct communication reminding families of the event when we return in early January.
