Paid Survey Opportunity
The System of Care Advisory Council (SOCAC) and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) are looking for information on the support parents and caregivers need for their children (ages 0-26) with complex health needs.
The survey is available in English, Spanish, simplified Chinese, and Vietnamese (see attached for translated materials). Responses will be collected until November 15, 2024.
Survey Qualifications:
- Parent or guardian to a young person aged 0-25 with complex health needs including:
- Experiencing mental illness
- Behavioral health
- Substance use
- Intellectual and/or developmental disability
- Medical conditions
- And/or other similar experiences
- Received services from 2020-2023 in Oregon.
Survey Length & Participation Benefits:
- This survey will take about 20-30 minutes to complete. Participants who complete the survey, will receive a $20 Amazon gift card gift card. Responses will be anonymous unless participants choose to participate in a follow-up interview. Participants who do a follow-up interview will receive an additional $20 Amazon gift card.

University of Oregon researchers would like to know what kind of fictional superheroes children (ages 5-10) would want to create. For more information, visit the survey link in the flyer. As a thank you for participants’ time, there is a downloadable superhero coloring page for the child(ren) to color.
Fern Ridge: Daisy's Sing & Sign with Daisy CHAIN (English and ASL)
Daisy’s Sing & Sign is a free interactive parent education-based program for parents alongside their children ages 0-6. The program creates opportunities for positive family interaction and gives families support in learning the stress relieving tools of singing and using sign language.
Learning ASL is a bonding tool and helps decrease both parent and child frustrations by teaching an effective communication method; singing songs also increases parent/child positive bonding associations and provides a tool for the parent to help their child regulate emotions.
Who is this for? Families in the Fern Ridge area with children aged 0-6; open to the public
When: Bimonthly, ongoing

Parent and Community Cafes (English and Spanish)
Parent and Community Cafes are structured, small group conversations for community building, healing within families, and peer-to-peer connections.
Who is this for? anyone serving as a caregiver for children and youth in Lane County; open to the public
When: monthly starting on October 2024 through June 2025
Locations: online via Zoom and at local parks

Early Childhood CARES Hiring For Classrooms
Are you looking for a full or part time position working with young children ages birth through five? Early Childhood CARES is seeking qualified candidates to work in our classrooms as Early Childhood Assistants.
Shifts are flexible and can accommodate working parents and provide on the job training as well as scheduled professional development throughout the year. Permanent employees receive a tuition discount at the University of Oregon.

Pro Tem Physical Therapist: Early Childhood CARES is seeking to hire up to 2 pro tem Physical Therapists to fill a temporary vacancy beginning in mid-October 2024 for approximately 4-6 months. FTE (appointment %) is negotiable.
Early Childhood Associate Teacher: The purpose of this position is to provide on-site responsibility for the daily routines in a preschool classroom. The position is located in a facility that includes children having cognitive, social, self-help, communication, and/or physical disabilities and they require the willingness to work in the environment associated with the position's location and purpose.
