Winter weather has arrived. We make every effort to let students go outside during recess, so please ensure your student is properly dressed for the elements.

There are basically five reasons we would have indoor recess:

+ Rain

+ Extreme cold temperatures combined with high winds

+ Extreme high temperatures combined with high relative humidity

+ Air quality alert

+ Emergency situation in the surrounding area

Please be aware: when the temperature and winds cooperate, we do go outside when it is snowing or has snowed.

On those special snowy occasions, students must wear snow pants, boots, jacket, hat and gloves/mittens to play in the snow. Otherwise, students who are not dressed properly for the snowy conditions will be limited to areas of the recess grounds that are clear of snow so they can enjoy the fresh air.

It is important for all students to be present on the day of their test. For some students, testing can take all day. To ensure all students have the opportunity to do their best on the test, avoid scheduling appointments on the day of testing.
