The MHCB group has been hosting Adulting 101 events throughout the division for grade 12 students. At this event, the career counsellors are sharing information on Alberta Student Aid, Apprenticeship Requirements, Apply Alberta procedures and connecting to myPass.

Spring is a great time to organize your scholarship applications. Colleges usually have opened their portals, and some high schools have awards that can be applied to. Be sure to listen to announcements at your school so you don't miss out!

🌱 Gr. 12's - Ensure you have a VERIFIED ALBERTA.CA account.
🐣 Rutherford Scholarships Applications open in AUGUST after your graduation. If you are attending post-secondary, this is when you should apply.
🌸 You will only recieve Rutherford Scholarship ONCE.
🌅 There is money for a 75% average of specific courses and more money if you held an 80% average in Gr. 10, 11 or 12. Alexander Rutherford Scholarship

A family vs. individual RESP has different contingencies and one should be aware of the tax implications for the matching governmment funds. An accountant or investment advisor will suggest the best scenarios based on your situation.
