Veterans Day Celebration
Please Share!
Families - we hope that you are able to lend us a hand and share this with any veterans and/or active service members.
Our St. John family would be honored by your presence at our Veterans Day celebration to show our gratitude for your service to our nation and Lord.
Please join us as we honor you at our Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, November 8, at 8:20am.
We will begin our celebration with our Lord at our chapel service, thanking God for all who have served and continue to serve our country. After the service we will raise the flag and honor our country as we sing the National Anthem. Immediately following, brunch will be served in the fellowship hall for veterans, active service members, and their families.

5th & 6th Grade Parent-Teacher Conference
Parents of 5th & 6th grade students are invited to a parent-teacher conference after school on Tuesday, November 5. Mr. Kopczynski and Mrs. Johnson look forward to explaining changes in the daily schedule and the new format with having two teachers take over the classroom. They also welcome your questions and would love to discuss any concerns you may have as we move forward.
Spiritwear Store Open
Our spiritwear store through ArtRageous Apparel is now open! Shop St. John spiritwear here through November 3. All orders placed will be available for pick-up in the office at a later date.
Basketball
We are partnering with North Star Classical Christian School this year to create our basketball teams. We will be practicing at Christ Church Crossroads (1350 IL-137, Grayslake, IL 60030).
Our first few practices are:

Cross Country 2024 Wrap-Up
Improvement. The main word, and most accurate word, to describe our eleven members of the St. John 2024 cross country team is improvement. Consistent attention to details like breathing, pacing, and driving on when the body wants to pause really made a significant difference. Each runner improved his or her time from the beginning of the season until the final meet, and each returning member from 2023 improved personal times at nearly every meet.
Watching the team members encourage one another will remain a strong memory of the year. Listening to the kind words of the parents who attended the meets was always positive. As coach to this team, I couldn't be happier with the efforts and results of each runner.

Employee Matching Gifts
Triple Bonus Points! In Scrabble we hunt those tiles down and stake them out. For years we have been the beneficiary of Triple Bonus Points; one of our St. John families gives a special gift to our Tuition Grant Fund and his employer matches the gift 2-to-1 so that his $6,000 is matched by $12,000 from his employer to become $18,000 for our Tuition Grant Fund!
Not every employee matching program offers Triple Bonus Points, but employee matching programs are available for many of you in our St. John family. Our St. John school is an accredited school and is eligible for matching gifts from many employee matching gift programs. A school family last year blessed us with $5000 that became $10,000 for our Tuition Grant Fund. Another school family regularly donates $50, $70, or $90 that is doubled, for our School Projects Fund.

Sunday School at St. John
After 9 a.m. church, come downstairs for snacks, refreshments, and fellowship, and then from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. join us for Family Bible Hour! Children in grades prek-3 through 8th grade are invited to come learn and grow in God's Word together.
