Kat Yarbrough has been name District Teacher of the Year for MCSD!!!!
We are thrilled to share that our very own Mrs. Kat Yarbrough has been named DISTRICT Teacher of the Year for Monroe County School District. Please share in our excitement and say congratulation the next time you see our FABULOUS music teacher! We are lucky to have her as part of our Panther Family.

Makinley Edwards truly embodies the spirit of perseverance and hard work, making her a standout student at Plantation Key School. She consistently demonstrates respect for her peers and teachers, fostering a collaborative classroom environment. Makinley approaches every assignment with dedication, always striving to do her best and coming to school with both the right materials and a positive mindset. Her PAW-sitive outlook on life inspires those around her, making her a cherished member of the PKS community. We are fortunate to have Makinley as a Panther—keep up the fantastic work!
7th grade Life Science created mini biomes
After learning about the Carbon and Water Cycle students built their mini biomes with soil, grass seed and a miniature organism. Students watered and sealed up the container, and now we watch it grow!
Media Center/Readers are Leaders
