Face-to-Face High School Summer School

Courses are available to all high school students, including selected courses for rising 9th graders. Registration for the upcoming session closes on May 23, 2024. The closest school for summer school is Meadowcreek High School and there will be a bus for students taking 2 classes. See Ms. Medina in the Parent Center for more information about the bus. More information and how to register can be found here.
Chromebooks
Underclassman (Grades 9-11): On Wednesday, May 22nd, 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will return their Chromebook and Charger to their 8th period teacher after they complete their final exam. Students can check eCLASS to verify the Chromebook they have in their possession is the one checked out to them. Regardless, the student needs to return any Chromebook they have on May 22. If the student does not return their Chromebook, a fine will be assessed and posted on My Payments Plus. Students are allowed to keep the case and re-use next school year.
Seniors (12th Grade): Chromebooks must be turned in after students take exams. If a senior is exempt from all exams, they can begin turning in their Chromebooks to the media center on Monday, May 13. All other seniors will turn in their Chromebooks on May 16 to the media center. All graduating seniors must have their Chromebook turned in by the Senior Breakfast on Wednesday, May 22.
Final Exams
More information on Underclassman exams can be found on our website. Seniors take their exams early during the school day. There has been a date change - Senior Finals will be May 13 - 16. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions.

Educational Tips For Parents
Thinking like a teacher can improve test success
There are many things your teen can do to prepare for a test. One of the most useful is to think
like the teacher. After your student studies class notes, suggest writing down questions your teen
thinks might be on the test. Then, your teen should plan how to answer them. Chances are, some
of the questions will show up on the test, and your teen will feel confident having thought through
the answers ahead of time. Click here for more Educational Tips.
Parents of 10th Graders
If your student is 16 years old, NOW is a great time to get the meningitis (MCV4) booster shot for 11th grade. Appointments are available at the health department, or your student may see their own doctor. Update your immunization form 3231 before the fall rush and turn in a copy to Ms. Medina in the Parent Center (Room 8.237). This is a state requirement for 11th grade. Read more about the requirement here.
Parent Meeting: Self-Determination – What is it and How can I Support my Child
May 9, 2024 @ 10 AM (In-Person) and 6:00 PM (Virtual)
This session is highly recommended for parents of students at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school). Self-Determination is the belief that all individuals, with and without disabilities, have the right to direct their own lives. Self-determination skills include self-advocacy, self-awareness, goal setting, choice making, and striving for independence. In this session, participants will learn how to help their children develop self-determination skills at home and at school in order to maximize their growth and potential as they transition to adulthood.
