Husky Headlines 24-25 School Year
Home of Heroes, Leaders, and Champions
Welcome to Week 5- Remembering 9/11/01
Husky Families,
Happy Sunday! I trust that you are enjoying a wonderful weekend with family and loved ones.
Now, as you may recall, Wednesday marks the 23rd anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. On this day, we come together to remember and honor the lives lost, the heroes who emerged, and the profound impact it had on our nation and the world.
The September 11 attacks were a turning point in history, reminding us of the importance of unity, resilience, and the values that bind us as a nation. It is a day when we reflect on the enduring spirit of the American people and pay tribute to those who lost their lives, their families, and the first responders who selflessly rushed into danger to save others.
As we observe this solemn day, let us:
Remember: Take a moment of silence to honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent victims who perished on that fateful day.
Reflect: Consider the impact of these events on our nation and the world, the sacrifices made by first responders and military personnel, and the resilience that emerged in the face of adversity.
Educate: Share stories and information about 9/11 with younger generations who may not have experienced it firsthand, so that we can ensure that the lessons learned are never forgotten.
Unite: Use this day as an opportunity to come together as a community, organization, or team, emphasizing the values of solidarity, compassion, and unity.
Support: Reach out to those who may have been directly affected by the events of 9/11, offering your support, empathy, and understanding.
In remembrance of 9/11, let us recommit ourselves to the principles that make our society resilient and strong. Together, WE can honor the memories of those we lost by working towards a more peaceful and inclusive world. Together, WE stand as a testament to the enduring strength of the human spirit.
Next, our motto at Cen10 is “Together We Can, Together We Will.” To us, this means that we are constantly trying to improve together, support each other together, and make things happen together. We will all make mistakes, but the drive, resiliency, and character to grow every day will maximize our successes together.
As a reminder, 1st period begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. Traffic will be heavy every day, especially due to the aquatic center construction currently taking place in the student parking lot. Please drop your Husky Scholar off with plenty of time to be seated in their 1st-period class, prior to 8:30 a.m. start time (Husky Scholars should arrive at least 15 minutes before the first bell to allow time for finding classrooms and settling in). Campus is open at 7:15 a.m. for your convenience. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided for all students. ID cards are required every day.
Lastly, the purpose of this communication is to keep you up-to-date and informed of all things Cent10. Please read through carefully and reach out to us if we can provide further clarification. We look forward to seeing you around Cen10- the BEST HIGH SCHOOL in the state. WE are in this together!
Thank you for the opportunity to be of service.
Proud Husky,
Dr. Romero
