Throughout the week we will read many books. Here are some of the books we will read this week.

First graders need to know an assortment of sight words to help them read. By the end of the school year, our students should know the 1st 100 Fry sight words.

This week will focus on the words: our, out, about

Spelling words: flag, spot, smell, snack, brush, truck, I'm, she's, isn't, don't

Students will write a procedural text.

Students will write complete sentences.

Students begin to learn place value through addition and subtraction equations.

Students will explore the weather and temperature in different areas.

Students will discuss patriotism.
