New Year, New Adventures โ Charting a Course for Success!
Dear Cypress Families,
As we embark on this new year of exploration, now is the perfect time to reset, refocus, and refine our journey to ensure a successful expedition for all our young adventurers!
The Key to a Successful Quest: Attendance Matters!
In every great adventure, showing up is the first step toward discovery and success. At Cypress, we remind our students: โWhen you miss school, you miss YOU.โ Each lesson is a critical piece of their learning journey, and missing even one day can create obstacles that make the path ahead more challenging. Young explorers thrive on routine, and frequent absences can lead to feelings of being lost in the wilderness of learning.
You can help keep your explorer on course by:
๐งญ Ensuring they arrive at school on time each day
๐งญ Scheduling appointments outside of school hours whenever possible
๐งญ Creating consistent routines for homework, bedtime, and morning preparations
We appreciate your support in keeping every Cypress adventurer on track for success!
Upcoming Stop: Donuts with Grown-Ups! ๐ฉ
Mark your maps for February 14th at 7:30 AM in the cafeteria, where we will gather for our PTA Association Meeting and the announcement of next yearโs leadership slate. Enjoy some delicious treats and connect with fellow families as we continue building a strong Cypress community!
Staying in Uniform: Dressing for the Journey
As we navigate the second half of the year, itโs important to stay prepared by following the Cypress uniform policy. Proper attire helps our young explorers stay focused and ready for their learning adventure. If your student needs uniform assistance, please contact Mrs. Reyes for support. Our faculty and staff will continue to remind students of these expectations and ensure all explorers are dressed for success!
Safety First: Navigating the Parking Lot Trail ๐
Our morning drop-off zone is a high-traffic area, and we need your help to keep our adventurers safe! Some families have been stopping in the inner lane, allowing students to cross in front of moving vehiclesโthis is a dangerous detour!
Here are three safer routes to ensure a smooth journey:
1๏ธโฃ Drop off your student as early as 7:30 AM for breakfast.
2๏ธโฃ Use the outer lane (closest to the curb) for a direct drop-off.
3๏ธโฃ Park in a designated spot and walk your student to the gate.
Drivers who do not follow the parking lot rules will be reminded and redirected as needed. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all Cypress adventurers safe!
Stay Connected on the Journey
Donโt miss any important stops along the wayโcontinue to check our Cypress website and Cub Communications for the latest updates, events, and news.
Adventure awaits, and weโre thrilled to continue this journey with you!
See you on the trail,
Kazuko Tuttle
