Have you heard about the new snack day structure?
Starting this September, our snack day structure will change. We will no longer ask parents to send snacks on those days. Instead, the PTA will organize a school-wide "Snack Sale" that allows students to bring in a dollar to purchase a special snack.
To help streamline the process, we will be giving parents the option to prepay all 4 snack days through our portal, or via a registration form that will be sent home the week leading up to our first snack day.
Classroom parties will continue to be coordinated and hosted by your homeroom parents with the support of parent volunteers. Party days will be held on October 31 (Fall party), December Date TBD (Holiday Party), February 14 (Valentines) and on May 16 (Field Day).

Why did we change the snack days?
The structure of snack days was changed to streamline and simplify snack days and allow our homeroom parents to concentrate on coordinating the four classroom parties.
Do I need to buy a snack?
You are not required to buy a snack and can send a snack from home for your student.
What days will Snack Day be held?
Designated snack days this year are as follows:
September 27
November 22
January 17
March 21
April 25 (Testing Celebration. School administration will provide snack)
What happens to students who don't bring in a dollar?
The PTA has set up a special fund that will allow other parents to donate funds to the snack day pool and cover costs for those who didn't bring money to purchase snacks. All students will receive a snack.
How can I support?
1.The homeroom parents will still need donations of snacks for your parties and is a great time to send something in for the class to share.
2. Your teachers provide their students with a daily snack time, but sometimes some students don't have snacks from home. Donate some healthy snacks for your teacher to include in their snack stash for daily snack time.
