Megan Bruce
Hi everyone! I'm Megan Bruce, and I'm thrilled to join the Fowler family as an Assistant Principal!
This year marks my 16th year in education. In that time, I've worn many hats – from teaching 7th and 8th grade Science and Social Studies to serving as a Social Studies Instructional Coach and a Digital Learning Coach. I've spent the last nine years at the High School level and I'm so excited to come back home to Middle School. I graduated from UT Tyler with a bachelor's degree in English. I then continued my education with a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from A&M Commerce and went on to Lamar University for Ed. Leadership. On the home front, I'm the proud wife of an Aggie, TJ (so yes, maroon runs deep in our family!). We have two little ones – Archer, who's starting Kindergarten this year, and our daughter Hattie Mae who turns 3 in August. Rounding out our crew is Sako, our sweet, senior Lab. As a family, we love exploring the outdoors – camping, hiking, and gardening. We're all excited to become part of the Fowler MS family and look forward to a fantastic year together!

Hello! Welcome to Fowler Middle School and to 6th Grade ILA! We couldn’t be more excited to meet everyone and to begin a fun-filled year with you! We will start our Unit 1 (Growing Up) with the following three essential questions: What are some of the challenges and triumphs of growing up? How do my experiences impact my interactions with the world? What can we learn from other people’s experiences? Students will deepen their understanding of the theme "growing up" by reading, writing, speaking, listening, and presenting. At the end of the unit, the students will apply the writing process to compose a personal narrative.
Welcome to science! Science is going to be a place for each of you to expand your knowledge and spark your curiosity.
