April 2025
Principal's Message
Dear Lincoln Families,
We are now on our 3rd trimester and nearing the end of the 2024-2025 school year. As a matter of fact, we only have 29 days of school left. Lincoln students and staff have been working hard at meeting our academic goals. I am proud of the growth our students in K-6 made on the iREADY assessment. Please see the chart below to see how much we grew!
State testing is coming up in a few weeks. Our students in 3-6 grade had a Kick Off Assembly on April 7th to get them pumped up and excited. The focus of the assembly was N.E.D (Never Give Up, Encourage Others, and DO YOUR BEST). Students in 3-6 grade will be taking these assessments starting the week of April 21st. Please encourage your child to do their best on the test. Please have your child come to school every day during state testing, go to bed early, and encourage them to eat a good breakfast. Please see the testing schedule below.
Lincoln continues to ensure that our students and families feel connected to the school. Our goal is to have over 90% of students and families participate in at least ONE activity. Parents can participate in a variety of ways: Back to School Night, Open House, Potluck with the Principal, School Site Council, Chaperone field trips, attend school functions (talent show, Family literacy night, ice cream social) and attend parent workshops. Students can stay connected by attending an afterschool club, district wide events (Chess Club, STEAM, Spelling Bee, Sports), Saturday School, etc. We are excited that Lincoln has been able to offer our students and families a robust menu of after school clubs and workshops. Please scroll down for information on our newest clubs that are happening now during session 4.
Let's finish strong!
Thank you everyone for your continued support and dedication to making Lincoln the BEST SCHOOL.
Dream It...Believe It...Achieve It!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Perry

Library and Early Drop Off
As a reminder, we open our school library before school even starts. This is a time where you can drop your children off early before our gates actually open. Students can use this time to complete homework, read, take quizzes, research, and so much more. Take advantage of this opportunity. See below for additional information.

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
April: RESPONSIBLE DECISION-MAKING: Identifying and Solving Problems
During the month of April, your child’s SEL instruction will focus on Responsible Decision-Making learning how to identify problems, analyze situations, and solve those problems. Students will develop strategies to make constructive choices about personal behavior and social interactions based on ethical standards, safety concerns, and social norms.
May: RESPONSIBLE DECISION-MAKING: Reflecting and Ethical Responsibility
During the month of May, your child’s SEL instruction will dive deeper into Responsible Decision-Making learning how to evaluate and reflect on current situations while taking ethical responsibility for choices. Students will understand how to be realistic in their evaluation of consequences of various actions, and to be considerate of the well-being of oneself and others.School Councils and Parent Information
Parents are invited to attend the meetings of the School Site Council (SSC), GATE, Special Education, and Site English Learner Parent Advisory Council (SELPAC) scheduled several times per year. Flyers and Class Dojo announcements are sent home several days before each meeting.
Lincoln's SARC (School Accountability Report Card) and SPSA (School Plan for Student Achievement) are available on our website, but parents may request a hard copy from the school office. Our Parent Involvement Policy and Parent Compact are both included in our handbook.
