This spring, you've faced unprecedented challenges! Your hard work & dedication is greatly appreciated.
You support the mission of the District and play a vital role in maintaining continuity of instruction and a positive learning environment when the classroom teacher is absent. Your dedication and commitment in helping students learn deserves our appreciation.
In honor of Substitute Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2-6), the Dallas Independent School District wants to extend to you our greatest thanks and appreciation! With over 2,400 substitutes across our district filling in for over 100,000 teacher absences this year, we owe a lot to you!

The month of MAY is a busy month and our campuses will need your assistance with ensuring all classes are covered.
Per district policy, substitutes are required to accept 5 assignments per month in order to remain active in the substitute pool. There will be no exceptions!

Dallas ISD Substitute Office
2022-2023 SUBSTITUTE REASONABLE ASSURANCE FORM
The Substitute Office will send the electronic re-enrollment forms to your district email for the 2022-2023 school year on April 14th. All substitutes are required to review & electronically sign the document by June 15, 2022 if you plan to return in the fall. Substitutes will receive a unique link with instructions to sign the document electronically. If you wish to not return for the 2022-2023 - please submit your resignation.
If you need further assistance or have forgotten your email address, please contact the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) at 972-925-5630. Unfortunately, the Substitute Office has no way of resetting the password on your behalf.
2021-2022 MANDATORY CYBERSECURITY TRAINING
On April 28, 2022, ALL substitutes should have received an e-mail from Infosec IQ Notifications indicating the mandatory training has been assigned. The e-mail contains a link that will take you to the cybersecurity training, which is self-paced and can be taken in separate sessions. The training is designed to help develop habits that keep information secure and teach users the best practices for identifying and addressing security threats.
Please follow the attached instructions to access the training once you have received the e-mail notification from Infosec IQ Notifications.

EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR | INTERCESSION SCHOOLS
We are excited that 40 schools have adopted an “intersession” calendar for the next two school years, which extends the school year. Substitutes will have the opportunity to accept assignments until June 24, 2022, at one of the intercession schools below:

HOW DO I ACCESS MY PIN?
The Absence Management phone system calls daily for job listings. To access the phone ID and PIN, log in to your account online. Then, using the Navigation menu, go to Preferences, then Phone credentials. These are only used to sign in to the Absence Management phone system.

HOW DO I ACCEPT SUBSTITUTE ASSIGNMENTS FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR?
ALL substitutes have been sent a personal invitation email to your district email account to access the system & accept substitute job assignments. Substitutes are required to click the link in their district email to create a Frontline ID & password. ***DO NOT USE THE SSO LINK***
We highly encourage you to continue using your district email for the Frontline ID. Substitutes will no longer accept assignments at www.aesoponline.com.
If you have an existing Frontline ID account, click “Sign in with your Frontline ID.” If you do not have an existing Frontline ID account, click “Create a Frontline ID.” Enter a username, password, email address, and click “I accept the terms and conditions." Then click “Create Frontline ID” and you are all set! :)

IMPORTANT PAY INFORMATION
Substitute teachers are compensated an additional $5.00/DAY on Monday's and an additional $10.00/DAY on Friday's.

SUBSTITUTE CAMPUS COORDINATOR LIST
Each campus has a set person or people who work with the substitute population. It may be an office manager, an assistant principal, or a financial clerk. This coordinator is in charge of handling substitute assignments, classroom placements, and most importantly time sheets. On the substitute webpage there is a link to the substitute campus coordinator for each campus. Please refer to this list anytime you have questions regarding your assignment or payment for that specific campus. It is a common misconception that the substitute office handles payroll for substitutes. Each campus (typically the office manager) is in charge of submitting time sheets to payroll for all assignments worked on their campus. If you ever believe there is a discrepancy on your paycheck, please be sure to reach out to the specific campus you took your assignments at. PAYROLL CORRECTION FORMS
Substitutes must contact the campus & payroll regarding any missing pay. The Payroll Department (notifypayroll@dallasisd.org) will work directly with the campus Office Manager and/or Coordinator to ensure substitutes receive compensation.
Unfortunately, the Substitute Office is not able to make any corrections to the timecard. The campus will work directly with payroll to ensure substitutes are compensated.

Substitutes do not have access to the online web clock and will need to continue using the biometric clock for clocking in and out at the campus.
SUBSTITUTE EXPERIENCE TEACHER FEEDBACK REGARDING SUBSTITUTE PERFORMANCE
As a reminder, you will be evaluated on your performance by the teacher you are substituting for. We've provided the questions that the teachers will answer below, as a way to guide your efforts in their absence.
- Was all classroom work collected?
- Was the room left as neat and clean as it was found?
- Was classroom work explained satisfactorily?
- Did students report that they were treated fairly and consistently?
- Were any disciplinary issues reported?

TECHNOLOGY
FORGOT YOUR EAD USERNAME/EMAIL/PASSWORD?
Employees who have forgotten their Email, EAD username and/or password can visit the Dallas ISD Password Portal at www.password.dallasisd.org or contact TAC at (972) 925-5630.
If employees still have problems logging into the application or have other technical difficulties, they should submit a Remedyforce ticket at https://supporthub.dallasisd.org or call the IT Service Desk at (972) 925-5630.
INFORMATION UPDATE
If you wish to update any information (such as phone numbers or addresses) make sure you log into your Oracle account to do so. All district information including Absence Management (AESOP) is pulled from Oracle, so if you want to make any changes you will need to do it through the Oracle portal. Use the steps below:
1. Log in to Oracle at http://disdops.dallasisd.org
2. Click the "DISD Employee Self-Service" folder under the "Main Menu"
3. Click the "Employee Self-Service" folder
4. Click the "Human Capital Management Information" folder
5. Click the "Personal Information" link
6. Browse the field you would like to change and click "update"
7. Follow the prompts and enter in the required information
8. Click "Submit"
