FUN RUN UPDATE
We are quite a bit short of our fun run goal. Please do what you can so HEPTO can continue to provide so many important things for our school.
Please join us in the designated spectators' section to watch the excitement at the fun run! No CRC is needed to watch. No need to check in at the main office. Just enter at the basketball court. Security will be on hand to provide an extra layer of safety for this event.

TOYS AT SCHOOL
HVS SAFETY COMMITTEE
The district would like one representative from each school to take part in the safety committee. We would also like one student from each of the high schools. For those who were not involved last year, it is a committee that meets quarterly for about one hour in the evening based on our strategic plan goals. We discuss current safety and security strategies, vulnerabilities and future opportunities we may have to increase the safety and security protocols we already have in place. Please let Dr. Campbell know if you are interested.
STUDENT DRESS CODE
Below is an excerpt from the HVS Student Code of Conduct:
DRESS - A student shall not dress or groom in a manner, which in the judgment of a building administrator or school personnel, may be harmful to the student or others or disruptive to the educational process.
Students should dress in a manner that is appropriate for the weather and conducive to the learning environment.
Important Guidelines:
Shorts and skirts must be long enough for all school activities. This includes: PE, recess, sitting on the floor, and all types of movement.
Shoes should be safe for all school activities such as PE and recess. Closed-toe shoes are highly recommended. Flip flops are not conducive to school activities.
Midriffs should not be showing.
Tank tops may be worn, but should have thick straps, not spaghetti straps.
No hats or hoods will be worn in school, other than hat spirit days.
Excessive makeup should not be worn to school.
Clothing with inappropriate or disrespectful sayings, logos, or images are not permitted. This includes but is not limited to: alcohol, drugs, tobacco, weapons, or profanity.
STUDENT ILLNESS
Please remember that students should be fever, vomit, and diarrhea free without the use of medication for a minimum of 24 hours before returning to school.
Please do not park in the fire lane in front of school while we are in session.
Phones and electronic devices must be turned off and in lockers during the day.
