Updates on Roles and Responsibilities: Coordinator of Assessment and Data
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance assessment practices and utilize data in our daily work, we redefined the roles and responsibilities for our Coordinator of Assessment and Data prior to hiring Dr. Heather Lyon. This role strengthens our focus on developing and implementing comprehensive assessment systems and effectively utilizing data to inform instruction and support student achievement.
Key Responsibilities 💡
- Manage the district’s assessment program and collaborate on assessment development and training
- Lead the use of data systems to improve student achievement and monitor equity trends
- Provide professional learning on assessments, data analysis, and instructional use
- Oversee and support the student management system (SchoolTool) and other key instructional assessment resources
Since joining us in August, Dr. Lyon and members of the Information Technology team have concentrated on managing SchoolTool and streamlining processes for staff support. To ensure efficient processing and routing of requests for SchoolTool and other instructional assessment resources (Acadience, eDoctrina and iReady), we ask staff to use MasterLibrary for all support or technical issues.
Moving Forward ⏩
Please submit all requests and support needs via MasterLibrary using the IT Request option. This will allow us to:
- Process requests more efficiently
- Ensure the appropriate team members address your needs
- Identify trends of support requests
Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to redefine these roles and responsibilities. If you have questions or need further clarification, please contact Dr. Heather Lyon.
