Globe Park Elementary School student donates $500 to homeless shelter
Recently, Globe Park Elementary School had a Feinstein Junior Scholar Winning Golden Ticket! Eliannys Soto-Leon, a first-grade student in Mr. Poli’s class at Globe Park Elementary School, received the winning ticket.
Her winning package from the Feinstein Foundation included the following:
A $5,000 grant for Globe Park Elementary School.
A $500 grant to the “Community Care Alliance Woonsocket Homeless Shelter” because Eliannys wanted to help the homeless in her community.
A congratulatory letter and Golden Ticket certificate from Mr. Alan Shawn Feinstein and the Feinstein Foundation.
Eliannys presented Community Care Alliance (CCA) Woonsocket Homeless Shelter in Woonsocket with a $500 check to support their cause of helping the homeless. She is truly a great example of what Globe Park Gator’s core values are: Respect, Ownership, Community, and Kindness - “R.O.C.K”. Eliannys and her compassion show she is a ROCKin Globe Park Gator! WED Competencies for Success
WED Has Been Noticed!
We are thrilled to announce that WED is being showcased at the annual national Building Expertise Educators' Conference
We are receiving recognition for our work with the Competencies for Success. Founder Michael Toth personally thanked the WED for embodying their vision by working to transform learning spaces to offer more rigorous and engaging instructional opportunities, enabling students to become independent, critical thinkers rather than dependent, compliant learners. We look forward to sharing all the details from the conference with you this fall.
